Here we have a “How to” on the twelve bar blues We start simple, and then get a little harder as we go on. This lesson is PERFECT for beginners, wanting to gain hand strength. It s also good for intermediate players that want a basic understanding of how the blues is made up.

We also talk about bars briefly in this video, and about roots, fifths and major thirds. The intervals and major triad that makes up these blues bass lines.

Hi Kris,

I just discovered you today. You’re a fabulous teacher! Wish you were in my neighborhood. I’m having some trouble opening up some of your lessons. Tried to view 12 bar blues and get an error message (Connection has timed out). Any ideas how I can view that lesson?

Sorry for late reply. I’m moving home at the moment.

Glad you’re enjoying the lessons. A conncection timeout normally means something to do with your connection, at your end. Are you connecting through wi-fi?

Try again today, and if you still have no luck, we’ll try alternative means of getting the video to you. When did you purchase it? I think it gives you 24 hours to download.

P.S. Working on Under The Bridge. I need to back up and learn how to walk my fingers around the fret board more effectively. Have a lesson for that?

Ok, I presumed you had already purchased the 12 bar blues lesson, and couldn’t open the video.

I’ve checked the bucket full of simple riffs links, and they all seem ok here? Again, I think it must be something to do with your connection. I’ll ask other people to try and open it as well though, and see how they get on.
