…making better bass players with Kris Rodgers A.K.A Dmanlamius
Ok, this lesson is a little less “funkier” than the first precision exercise. But needs must, and I designed this exercise to really help with your thumb targeting!
G||———————–
D||—-7-5—————
A||———7 6 5-3-5—
E||–5——————–
As per usual, strike the strings clean with your thumb. It’s quick, so you’re going to have to be precise. If it’s too fast, slow down. If you can do it easily (without accidently hitting ANY other strings), speed it up.
Good luck, and tell me how it goes!

nice to see and hear, your blogs are getting better. Less talking and woffle. Also going off the subject. Nice and clear picture, the speeding up was a waste of time as you lost it and held the last notes.
More of showing the pattern and less chat and showing off.
your a great player.
great page, you've come a long way.

I really enjoy the talking & personality Dman shares with us all and think that's what's so great about him & sets him apart… That coupled w/his excellent teaching style and skill is why I come back.
Also, it ain't bragging if you can do it & when he adds a little "spice" to this and that it does nothing but make me want to learn even more & be the best I can be….
Why aim for mediocrity and/or promote it? Why not inspire?!
I do like the addition of the tab as of late & think it's great for you D that you've streamlined your lessons (as I know how busy you are lately & this probably just means more lessons)… But all in all I do miss the "talking and woffle" (prior poster entitled to his/her opinion, lame as it was imho).
